Personal Statement of a Healthcare Worker

Recent pandemic with Covid-19, took enormous devastation on everyone life. As a health care worker I have experienced the first hand reality with Covid-19, I have help many to breath with mechanical support and many hours with direct patient care. Covid is deadly disease but luckily for as we can fight it. Many lives were lost but many people survived, a person who survives will carry on a traumatic experience for rest of their lives. Many people suffer post-traumatic stress disorder and use of the medication is not always the answer, I feel like we will have to take different approach in recovery. That is why I want to apply to the University of Bridgeport to gain knowledge of more natural approaches to help people. Witnessing the struggle from the patients and medical personal made me realize that I want to be a part of post Covid recovery. I feel the Chinese medicine can do a lot good for the patients, I know I can help them recover with more traditional approach of use herbs, acupuncture and massage therapies as well serve as primary care practitioner.
