*I enjoy helping patients I understand and I can relate to them with their stress level. 8 years ago my daughter was very very sick and she was in the hospital for 2 weeks we got all the help that we could from Doctors, nurses, MRI technician, ultrasound, lab, social worker, chaplain, PCA, Evs, clerks. However 1 stood out the most to me the ultrasound tech. The nurse need to put an Scalp IV catheter because my daughter vein else where are shrinking and that makes it hard to place it in the arms or legs. I couldn’t bare to watch them place it on her scalp so I made a request if there’s any possible way to place it in the arms or legs only. The nurse kindly said she can request for an ultrasound tech to come and guide her where my daughter good veins are when she place the catheter in her leg if that’s what I want. Wow I’m amazed how special ultrasound techs are. I was so over joy to hear that. I had never thought once in my life how an ultrasound tech can be so special and help patients in the most critical life threatening situations like this. I had always thought ultrasound tech job duty all day is to perform a prenatal ultrasound and find the baby genders and that’s it.
