Reasons for Studying a Combination of Music and Finance

I should be 400 words. I have my draft written but would like a formal essay, to help me. This essay is for a school application, I am applying to a music program as my first choice and a finance program as second.
Here is infor about myself and how I feel about the answer to the question, to help you write the essay:
I am a young man who has always had a passion for singing. Singing has gotten me through a difficult upbringing (lost my father, mother with health issues, sister with disability), it was my outlet and my joy. But I always saw singing as a personal activity, as I am shy. The world only saw the side of me that is into numbers and practical applications, I always liked to present myself as a logical person and music was not a part of that. One day I opened up to the idea of singing with my mother's encouragement and joined the choir at school. The experience of learning music in a school setting opened my eyes to how music is also learning and logic. The bridge between feeling and reason, emotion and mathematical patterns, they are beautiful to me. This is when I realized that I do not have to chose being one type of person over the other (numbers or song) because I am both. I enjoy still enjoy math, finance and following the market, but my passion is music. I am currently in the selective choir at my school. My choir teacher is an inspiration to me and she is currently helping me audition to a county choir. She sees potential in me and has the most influential adult at this point in my life.
