The finance profession is the oil that lubricates the engine of economic prosperity. My interest in finance started back in my high school days. In high school, I excelled greatly in mathematics. I also realized that I am naturally talented at the manipulation of numbers. This talent has helped not only helped me achieve good grades in mathematics but also helped me develop great analytical and problem-solving skills. Over time, I have come to appreciate that the best way to channel my knowledge and skills in mathematics is by pursuing a finance degree. Pursuing a degree in finance would be the step that would place me at an optimal point to achieve my career objective.
My short-term career goal is to become a sales and trading analyst at a prestigious finance firm. Achievement of this goal would assist me in acquiring the core skills of sales and trading and lay a good foundation for achieving my long-term goals. In the short term, I also aim to become familiar with the capital market and achieve my stock trading goal. Investment in the capital market is a lucrative business opportunity. With the proper knowledge and skills, I will be able to optimize returns made through trading in these markets. A finance degree is a great place to start acquiring the appropriate skills.
