Reference Letter with Applicant's Intellectual Ability
Hi,
Last year, my application to _______ Graduate School of Education has failed because one of my reference is weak in writing reference writing. She thought she messed up the reference letter. I have spoken to the school again, and they allowed me to get reference from Karen again. With his consent, I need you to rewrite the letter using some of the points below she verbally listed, and of course you can also expand the story based on your narrative while writing this letter. Overall, there are few things required in this letter - the school wanted to know me more than, something beyond just education/Career capabilities. They wanted to now my personality qualities like how my interest and motivation would be a good fit for this course, and how those traits will proof i will likely succeed in the future.
The course i am applying to is called Master's in Educational Leadership - Higher Education _____ and if you read a little about this course, most of the courses focuses on race, equity, leadership, diversity, development, inclusion, navigate politics or communicate effectively.

The requirement of this letters are:
1. Applicant's intellectual ability
2. Applicant's talent and strength, as well as weaknesses or developmental needs

Reference letter from Karen
- Karen and I worked in HSBC since 2018. We are data analyst who leverage on digital data by using those marketing tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics/ Google Analytics) to analyze performance data for our stakeholders.
- Since our team has limited menpower and we have to support all stakeholders from the Asia Pacific market (consisting Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Indoa, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan) market, we have to really demonstrate quick pace and high qualities to support our stakeholders. On the other hand, we need to have superior communication skills to be successful in this role
- Later we became super close, we often have joint projects to support different stakeholders. Our stakeholders often praised us since we are calibre and creative since we often think out of the box, to find different solutions to solve their equations. As part of my leadership skills, she thinks that I always complete my work on time, always voice out anything that is missing/ not proposed by my stakeholders, and i am always ready and open for Q&A from my stakeholders at all time.
- A part from work, we often engaged in outdoor activities together - e.g. Hiking. We also participated the Wayfoong Clubhouse for badminton where we played badminton together and join tournaments. We also organized various activities for other colleagues to participate. Sometimes, we organize swimming, tennis and ping pong games so everyone could play together.
- Karen thinks that one of my best quality is my social ability, with some soft skills making everyone comfortable to speak and share their thoughts with me, either their personal stories or anything related to work. That was when I shared my educational knowledge with Karen, discussing various executive education courses that could help her boost up her career path and achieve her goals in digital marketing.
- She thinks that i am always not afraid to speak my mind (here are some personality traits she suggested: integrity, leadership, curiosity, creativity, empathy, perseverance, motivation, ambitious, collaboration, confidence, leadership and others).
- Karen thinks that I will be a successful entrepreneur. Considering my current role as a Consultant, I will be a successful educator who can educate my audiences well since i have both combined soft skills and also in-depth technical skills, and would be able to tackle every problem arise.

- Understood they wanted to know my strength, but also weaknesses (I am not sure if weaknesses should be inside this letter since referenc letter means writing something really good), but if you are going to include some weaknesses, then try to pick something not harmful at all.

Sorry Writer, apologies actually this letter has to be around 1 - 1.1k words. Hmm in this case can you narrate it, to make it a little more vivid, it doesn't has to be so formal, you can also narrate it in a style where you are the observer where you whitnessed the whole process, and narrate it based on that style.
I was looking at what I can get out of the course, there are few elements - race, equity, leadership, diversity, development, inclusion, navigate politics or communicate effectively.
Can we talk about these elements, e.g I often dealt with stakeholders from different race and backgrounds, some of them are from marketing, while some from call centre. Despite they have no knowledge in digital marketing and data, I could found a way to translate data by using real life examples/ topics when explaining things to them (that way I can show case some of those elements above).

I first met Mr. A in 2008 when we started working as colleagues at HSBC as data analysts. I was immediately impressed by his discipline and problem-solving skills. As a data analyst, he has always shown utmost dedication and skill toward the job at hand. Creating flawless and creative models is a hard task for a data analyst.
