Bonner, J. M., Greenbaum, R. L., & Mayer, D. M. (2016). My boss has morally disengaged: The role of ethical leadership in explaining the interactive effect of supervisor and employee moral disengagement on employee behaviors. Journal of Business Ethics, 137(4), 731-742.
This article focuses on the effects of unethical leadership on the behaviors and ethics of the employees. Specifically, the authors aimed to understand two relationships. First, they aimed to study how the decisions, behaviors, and actions affect the employee's perception of their bosses using the 'moral disengagement theory.' This article is essential for the study since it would determine how the employee's behaviors are affected by their leaders' unethical actions and decisions. In turn, this would provide insight into the failure of an organization, especially considering that employees play a huge role in organizational success.

In line with the study at hand, this article would help understand how transformational leadership (or the opposite thereof) could influence the fate of the organization. Notably, a relationship would be drawn based on the 'failed decision-making' and the leader's leadership characteristic in the case.
