The article ‘Growth in a Time of Debt’ published in papers was erroneous. While conducting an economic review, Reinhart and Rogoff linked debts to slow growth (Rogoff & Reinhart, 2013). The critics Thomas Herndon Michael Ash Robert Pollinn identified a spreadsheet mistake in calculation. Furthermore, the critics claimed that the writers were biased since they omitted vital data and improperly weighted summary statistics. The writers Reinhart and Rogoff, however, tried to correct the allegations of biased records but acknowledged the calculation errors. However, the critics refused to publish that both median and average estimates of growth were included in the statistics.
