Gameplay Experience and Its Aspects, Terms, and Supplemental Information
In each of your reading responses, you will be expected to:
1. Briefly summarize what you think the author’s/authors’ primary intention for their text was. Or to put it another way, tell me what you think their central thesis argument was.
2. Briefly explain how you could see yourself using your selected reading as a research source in an essay or as inspiration for a creative project. I am looking for you to try and speculate on how you might be able to practically utilize your selected reading in some way. For example, if you chose Mia Consalvo’s reading on cheating, you could talk about an essay you might write about a popular game that uses anti-cheat software.
3. Write in your own words and do NOT directly quote any material from your selected reading beyond key terms and/or short phrases.
4. Include an image or embedded video that helps to illustrate your ideas.

The author's main aim is to explain how different people experience gameplay. Moreover, the authors explain the aspects involved in gameplay, the terms of use, and other supplemental information that players use. As the narrative shows, the paper explains how players utilize supplemental items while playing the game, including their definition of cheating based on the supplemental items. In order to understand or explore the issues, the paper undertakes a comprehensive analysis of the interviews from 24 players and an open-ended survey of 50 players (Consalvo, 2005). The interviews and open-ended surveys intend to understand players' perspectives, particularly the components they perceive as cheating. Further, the discussion also includes players' actions and the reasons behind the diverse cheating habits.
