When a business fails to make profits, it ends up being unable to make payments on labour and other goods and services it receives. In this case, United Airlines has forfeited paying the cost of operations for freights from San Francisco to Washington D.C. This could have been brought by different factors one being low revenues collected on a flight from San Francisco to Washington D.C. In this case, the company lacks enough financial backup to cover these costs. However, different strategies can be used to solve this problem (Stevenson & Sum, 2009). Discontinuing of flights on this route cannot be used as a solution to this problem and instead United Airlines should consult marketing solutions to end the problem.
