One of Canada Goose's firm-specific advantages is the high quality of its products. For instance, the firm uses special padding to make its jackets warm. Also, the company focuses on manufacturing outwear that has a perfect fit for the bodies of consumers from different parts of the world. Another firm-specific advantage is that all its products are manufactured in Canada. With its manufacturing base within the country, Canada Goose can easily monitor the production process to ensure that every product is of the best quality. One of the firm-specific disadvantages is that Canada Goose lacks enough capacity. The demand for Canada Goose outwear exceeds the supply. If the company meets the exceeding need, it has to increase its production capacity.
I think that Canada Goose's current supply chain strategies are effective. Without outsourcing its distribution to a third party, Canada Goose can retain its brand's complete control. This has helped to prevent the devaluation of Canada Goose's brand.
