McDonald which is a U.S based organization formed in 1940 is among the leading fast food restaurants in the world today. The brand has become more popular and widespread in many aspects of society. The company, which has food outlets that number over 3000, and in 120 countries, has a revenue base of $ 25 billion. The quality products and services produced by the firm have facilitated its expansion, growth and profitability over the years. These aspects are what makes the entity generate more customers on a daily basis. Further, this growth and expansion is also influenced by various other factors such as social, political, technological, environmental, and economical.
Among the factors that I liked in regard to Macdonald’s strategy was its consistency in quality and cost of its products. Apparently, MacDonald also takes great value in its customers and therefore, employees, and management must ensure their satisfaction. At this organization, employees are expected to be committed in their obligations, and act as owners of the company. They are also expected to treat all people, management, fellow employees and customers with dignity.
Another strength noted for MacDonald is its capability of regularly updating and evolving their menu (David, 2011). In essence, they are very much concerned on meeting the diet needs and requirements for their local customers. Further, they are considerate on traditional menus such as provision of vegetable patties, traditional chicken men, avoiding of cow meat in Indian communities (because these are adored and worshipped). In particular, they are able to tailor their menu according to the local demand and culture. This ensures that they only have to produce services or goods that are needed by the locals.
