Case Study: A Puerto Rican Woman with Comorbid Addiction
The case study focuses on Mrs. Perez, a 53-year-old Puerto Rican woman struggling with comorbid addiction to alcoholism and gambling (Case Study: waldenu.edu, n.d.). These negative effects indicate that the patient needs help to overcome her comorbidity addiction problem. Various options including pharmacological and therapeutic interventions are available to address the problem. For this case study, a psychopharmacological treatment option is recommended. Therefore, this paper selects a medication recommended for treating Perez and analyzes
