The core reason for the existence of businesses and other firms is the urge to realize a given outcome (Mercer Delta, 2004). Studies indicate that the results are achieved at different levels as the analysis of Wegman’s Food reports. To maintain competitiveness in the market, Wegman’s Food capitalizes on the available strengths at the various levels that include organizational, individual and group levels. On the organizational level, the enterprise is unique in size considering all the business’ stores are so huge that it houses all quantities and types of foods one may desire. The produce sold by the firm is fresh, with reasonable prices (Burchell & Robin, 2011). By maintaining uniformity in all their stores, it is easier to attract and keep a huge customer base. Also, by being self-reliant through its vertical integration and distribution process control, the company easily competes and supersedes other stores.
