The job title I intend on applying for is logistics/distribution manager. The position requires an individual to organize and distribute goods. For an organization to run smoothly, the right products need to be delivered to the right location, time and at a fair cost. Understanding the organization's supply chain is critical to managers getting involved be in transportation, stock control, warehousing, and monitoring the flow of goods CITATION pro21 \l 1033 (prospects, 2021). The manager needs to liaise with raw material suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to develop the best strategy for optimizing operations.
A career in logistics and distribution is attractive due to the fast growth of the sector. The world is developing at a fast rate, therefore, the sector will continue to grow in the coming years. I am confident in the plenty of job opportunities on offer after I am done with my major in economics and minor in business. My desire to take on some responsibility with my career is a motivating factor in my interest in the position. As a logistic and distribution manager, the organization's supply chain will be dependent on me to make sure the products are delivered in the right place at the right time.
My major and minor on campus have equipped me with knowledge in management, business, business with languages, and economics. These are the part of the core qualifications that are needed to fill the position of logistic and distribution manager. Other requirements for the job are the ability to use IT systems to manage stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs CITATION pro21 \l 1033 (prospects, 2021). Therefore, my knowledge in computing will be critical to making sure I qualify in another perspective of the position.
