Corporate Compliance Program
The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) compliance program should communicate the organization’s commitment to conduct operations in compliance with the necessary local, state, and federal regulations and conformity with the highest levels of ethical practice. Corporate compliance programs should be tailored to ensure value-based health care delivery to patients based on new approaches for medical professionals and the overall entity. In designing the compliance program, UMMS would need policies and procedures to delineate expectations and foster conformity with the organization. As value-based programs change, regulatory compliance updates prove crucial. In this vein, the health care system’s compliance plan should include procedures to track, appraise, and act on federal and state regulations impacting technology, physician reimbursement, business operations, and program compliance (University of Maryland Medical System, n.d.).
Organizational Code of Ethical Conduct
In order to achieve their commitment, health care professionals are required to comply with all ethical standards. Ethical practice supports and sustains healthcare organizations’ functioning and the integrity of healthcare staff. UMMS’s code of ethical conduct should include fundamental public health values, including health and ...
