Experimental research design is a research conducted regularly in laboratories on circumstances of imperative results and is used for the controlled testing of casual processes. A randomized controlled trial is a form of experimental research design and commonly used for clinical trials to test the safety and efficacy of healthcare services. This research design has several advantages and disadvantages.
