Introduction
Health promotion is an important challenge facing the health sector, and its goal is to help individuals increase the control in improving their health status. Many states are adjusting to promoting health in their facilities that seeks better methods of managing diseases (Edelman, Mandle, & Kudzma, 2014). The main reason for health promotion is to prevent diseases and develop skills and methods of health care. Edelman et. al, in his attempt to categorize health promotion initiatives focuses on nutrition, stress management, physical activities, interpersonal relations, spiritual growth and health responsibility.
It is imperative also to consider changes in lifestyles which can be facilitated by combining learning experiences geared towards enhancing awareness. Building of skills, increase motivation, and create opportunities that open avenues in which health practices are practices easily are also an important aspect. The scope of this journal is carried out in our community and, in a nutshell, a visit was taken to Saban Community Clinic to determine some of the issues concerned in healthcare promotion. The findings of this research revealed a number of truths.
Health Care Access
Many families in Los Angeles are having a good access to health care, a factor that has enabled them to receive these systems at a community level. However, not all the families are in such a position but a few of them are cannot access this services. This was discovered to be as a result of racial, ethical minorities and people with low incomes during the period of research. Due to the widespread healthcare plan, several individuals within this community can access better health care at affordable rates.
Many of the families are now covered by insurances that make it easier to access health facilities and services. However, those who cannot manage to get insurances, there are proper structures that have been developed in order to ensure their needs are meet health wise. Having carried out a visit to Saban Community Clinic, I was able to find out that the roll of the healthcare plan has to a larger extent opened a window of opportunity to the community.
