This causes many people to be fearful of experiencing such incidences forcing them to be crime conscious and always alert. Fear is a complicated emotion that has both direct and indirect effects on perceptions and actions. Even if they have not been personally harmed, people may be aware of the possibility of being a victim of crime. Individuals who have been victims of crime are more prone to dread crime than non-victims, according to studies. According to studies, there is a strong link between the chance of becoming a victim of crime and the fear of being a victim of crime for both males and females.
