According to research, adolescence is a stage of development that begins at puberty between 10 to 19 years (World Health Organization: WHO, 2019). This phase is normally considered to be a transition from childhood to adulthood, where individuals undergo physical, cognitive, social, and emotional changes. Notably, the adolescent years have effects on both boys and girls, in which if there is not enough support, individuals end up being lost and following behaviors that do not align with their beliefs. For instance, girls experience breast enlargement, and the menstruation cycle, while boys have broad shoulders and deeper voices. Additionally, during these years, individuals find it difficult to understand the changes in their bodies, which in turn affects their feelings and emotions.
