There is an old saying, that says, “As people age, they become more like themselves.”
Knowing what you have learned about the different theories of aging, what kinds of things can you imagine yourself doing to insure ego-integrity and avoid despair (per Erikson’s eighth stage of man)?

Ego-Integrity Vs. Despair
Erikson's final stage of development is integrity vs. despair which happens in old age. At this stage, people question their contributions to the world which would make them happy or regretful. The theories of aging provide the physical, cognitive, and socioemotional strategies to cope with the ego integrity changes and avoid despair in the final stage of development.
