Social Issue – Race, Discrimination, Awareness, Assumptions, Bias
Race
The race is a socially constructed myth that does not have biological or genetic facts. The social issue takes down the identification of people based on race. The difference in racial groups gets revealed by various aspects like the shape of the nose and the texture of hair between different individuals. The perception of racial disparity is a significant social issue between communities and different nations all over the world. The social classification of people according to race, is robust and influential in the United States, whereby the citizens show significant disparity, creating the difference between individuals from different races (Racial Inequalities, 2012). Americans show the difference clearly in all aspects of life, including economics and the implementation of legal codes among the citizens. Most people in the world are still glued in the social issue despite the lack of biological proof and the basis to support the impacted difference. Racism is very significant among Americans, and most individuals use the theme for identification differences.
The United States' citizens use race as a discrimination tool to undermine people from different racial groups. Most of the whites in the country look down upon blacks based on different skin colors. In some cases, people are judged according to weight, whereby some whites discriminate the heavy people. This social issue is just pointless because people from different cultures and origins will have different ways of living. Besides, the groups will also have to enjoy different types of meals. For example, Eddie Huang gets upset about the perception of most Americans that blacks like Hip-Hop music (Time, 2015). As the singer majors in the genre, he's not black, but he urges that the thinking is wrong and different. Also, most people have incorrect perceptions of the singer getting mad about the social issue. Eddie responds by telling the critics not to choose what's offensive to him.
