Talent management is a varied collection of coordinated human resource processes that are intertwined together to deliver a working mechanism for organizations. It is the prerequisite of human resource manager to develop this tool so as to maximize resources and increase production, service delivery and efficiency (Ronald, Cary, 2005). Talent management is given fast priority by organization because partnering with the best people improves performance at a high degree. To achieve superior business performance, talent management is a must ingredient.
Talent management is an organizational strategy for short and long term goals. Selecting the best person for each task opens new ways, adds new ideas and utilizes the best skills available. This strategy results in higher performance and enables the organization to compete favorable with its competitors in the market. Talent management ensures that best people are aligned for the best job and organizational goals (Ronald, Cary, 2005). The people are innovative, creative and add value to performance of the organization.
The varied challenges in the market face the human resource departments these are; stiff competition, lack of engagement from employees, high turnovers, outsourcing trends and impending retirements.
