In the first topic about financial information used by corporates, I achieved knowledge on how corporates wok and how they make decisions which affect the organisation as a whole. This added skills and ability to advice any corporate members in case I am faced with such obligation. Financial information is important in making financial decision and analysing the organisation financial status. Any director or shareholder needs this information and being a student who in future hopes to invest in stock exchange, this knowledge and skills is important in making the right decision about investment. Before joining this class, I did not have knowledge on tools employed by financial analysts and executives and this was a problem in understanding some information given out by some governmental corporations. As a citizen, it is important to understand how the government does its activities. I use this knowledge to explain to elderly and those who want to understand how corporate organisations work. Financial flow, assessing investment in information technology and identifying major IT issues have also been important in the modern life where everything has been computerized.
During the introduction part to financial information, there was a better understanding and as a new student, I felt it was the best place and the best thing to do. This continued to other topics until we reached data and information flow where I started to feel that the tutor was not giving enough in terms of classwork and explanations.
