A normal distribution is usually expressed in the form of a curve known as a normal distribution curve, which is plot of points giving the probability of certain events occurring. The curve is bell shaped and indicates the confidence level of a certain events occurring. Here the narrower the curve the higher the confidence of occurrence of that event. Since timely and correct decisions are required in business, the normal distribution is applied to provide information on characteristics of information relevant in business and the application of statistical tools for decision-making.
The normal curve can be applied in various businesses in businesses statistic for decision-making. Six sigma is a statistical approach used together with the normal distribution.
