Organizational management relates to directing, planning and coordination efforts undertaken by the management, and optimum use of resources to accomplish set objectives. Additionally, through effective planning control, employees get to understand how to handle roles and responsibilities better.
Discussion on Paul Hawken’s: “Good management is the art of making problems so interesting and their solutions so constructive that everyone wants to get to work and deal with them.”
Since the planning function of management seeks to identify goals and objectives, while also developing plans to achieve the objectives, the solutions ought to be constructive. However, people are more likely to achieve the objectives when there is clarity, and there are no clear cut criteria for which to define problems as being interesting. Nonetheless, motivated employees who are integrated in organizations seek to get constructive solutions for different problems in the workplace.
