The role of leaders in the formation of the performance management strategy
Leaders play a vital role in management strategy. At Porter Novelli worked on improving its position in the competition, emphasis was placed on the need to manage their human resources. This was to be realized through construction of a performance management strategy.
Strategic leaders played a significant role towards the implementation as well as the efficiency of the performance management strategy. One of the most important needs for a strategic leader is to organize the activities that will need to be integrated with the strategy. Their roles in the strategic management are: first, to establish the training program. Second, they develop mandatory job, safety and health status as elements that are needed for a good working environment. Third, they also provide development, evaluation, analysis of the hazards that may happen as a result. It was important for the company to deploy the strategic management in an effective way. As a result of this requirement, the leaders anticipated and emphasized collection of data as well evacuation of the employees as well as any other performance related activity (Goldsmith, 2010).
Collection of data should be done in a way that shows the performance of an individual employee. It should as well be able to adjust accordingly.
