His leadership style may not have followed what is in books, but many people believe that Steve Job’s exceptional leadership attributed to the Apple’s global success. Steve Jobs had an understanding of the company’s visions and ensured that he strived towards achieving them. He stayed focused to the visions he had for Apple and ensured that the company and all workers were at all times headed towards achieving that vision. Because of this commitment, he is always remembered as one of the most visionary legends.
Also, Steve Jobs was very creative; he ensured that he hired different people in order to add diversity to the company. The Apple catchphrase, ‘Think Different’ was also Jobs’ approach behind his recruiting process. He did not only recruit highly eligible technical engineers, he also hired poets, musicians, zoologists, and historians who were also computer scientists. He once said that "while some people see our employees as crazy, we see brains. Because individuals who thing they are fanatical enough to change the world, are the ones who actually do".
When it came to teamwork, Steve Jobs had a highly effectual modus operandi with a hidden side. He often challenged his teams; from those involved in the initial product attempts led by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak onward, to reach beyond the achievable. A few powerful people prospered on this; rising to become superior performers who were vastly motivated by the pleasure they derived from struggling to meet Jobs’ challenge. Even so, a number of other workers were pointlessly frustrated. The cost a leader incurs for such a conduct is the loss of workers who need more support along the way. Such a method also demoralizes the emotional devotion of other players, who in most companies make up more than triple the firm’s teaming capacity of strong players.
There are a number of statements about leaders which were true about Steve jobs. Firstly, he knew what needed to be done. For instance, when he first modeled the Ipad to have a plastic screen and realized that it was easily scratched, he decided to try glass screen which worked. He was also persistent; whenever he tried a new technology, he would work on improving it until it worked. Jobs was also a risk taker as he developed gadgets that were never tried before; he was not afraid of failure.
