All organizations are faced with a number of threats and opportunities for their business. The opportunities and threats for a certain firm may not be the same as those for another company (Porter, 2008). Due to some key factors that face our university, a number of opportunities still help it to be outstanding among the numerous campuses, even though some threats are coming up.
One of the greatest opportunities that are evident is location of our university, since it is found in a very strategic place, within a capital city which also happens to be the geographic center of our state. Being in that location explains that the greater population easily access and opt for it. The capital which hosts the government means that all the legal affairs of the universities will be met, including advancement. Other services found within a city include easiness of transport, health care and medicine, business and finance, among others. The changing demographics have brought a great opportunity for our campus via the population increase around the state.
