Work culture relates to the beliefs, practices and attitudes of employees in an organization, and this shapes they way they interact to achieve common goals. Both competencies and an ideal work culture facilitate achieving organizational goals. Differences in organizational structure and communication styles, influence employee interaction and the decision making process. Work culture is also being responsible for employees’ morale and engagement because the culture may be in conflict with personal values (Bowles & Cooper, 2012). Knowing my ideal work culture helps to choose the most effective channels of communication to increase efficiency and reduce misunderstands.
The results showed that I have strong people skills, and this is essential in team work. My ability to communicate and connect well with most people is necessary at all times in the workplace. This extends to interpreting of non verbal cues as well as listening.
