Directions:
Your discussions will be revolving around reading chapters from Richards and Rogers. Chapters 9 and 10 . You will be asked to design an activity or a mini/lesson that you may teach in an ENL classroom by using one of the approaches described in the assigned chapters 9- and 10 . Be clear stating which method/approach you use in your activity/mini lesson. Your activity/mini lesson should not be long and should be aiming at teaching one skill or strategy. The Total Physical Response (TPR) approach is a language teaching method that emphasizes using physical movement to reinforce language learning. This approach is especially effective with young learners, making language learning more interactive and engaging (Richards & Rodgers, 2001). As an ENL teacher, I would use TPR to teach vocabulary to my students by selecting a set of vocabulary words related to a topic of interest to them.
