As it is well acknowledged, proper nurturing of children is the basic responsibility of parents. Parents have inescapable responsibility when bringing up their children, where these errands are involuntarily presented on both parents of the child precise from child`s birth. It is the obligation of the parents to guide and modify he behavior of their children to conform to the acceptable behaviors in any given society. This helps in preventing children from crime related behaviors which are committed by their children. Though parents are fighting to see their children achieve their dreams, some parents have failed in these roles as they adopt too much permissive and laissez-faire parenting style that unconsciously make their children vulnerable to ant-social behaviors. This paper seeks to look at how parents act as catalysts for children behaviors (Straczynski, 2004).
Criminal justice system is simply a practice that governs and upholds social control, preventing and mitigating crime. It also plays a role in sanctioning those who violate laws with criminal penalties as well as rehabilitation efforts. The question on how the criminal justice system can give parents enough power to ensure that their children stay out of the system becomes more demanding since parents are not well versed with the laws.
