Statistics is one of the most important elements of experiments in any field of study. This is because it is the backbone of the validating research questions as well as testing the various results that are collected from the scientific experiments that are conducted in whichever field of study. In the field of biology and in this case with reference to the pharmaceutical applications, statistics is used to verify the data collected on any particular drug that is produced.
There are several subsections that benefit from statistics, within the biological sciences, and among them are the medical statistics and biostatistics. While the biostatistics subsection is much broader in terms of coverage, as it spreads to the statistical application in biology, medical statistics is more precise and direct application in medicine.
