In my view, the key provisions in this law would be considered beneficial in the sense that its intent has given millions of uninsured Americans a prospect to access Medicare (North Dakota, 2013). The health care costs have also been subsidized, a factor that has highly improved system efficiency and eliminated poor practices in the health sector caused out of rescission.
This act gives the states the option of expanding access to medical cover for less privileged families. As said, the foundation of any successful nation lies in good health since this is the substram fortune and is the only basis of happiness. A nation that invests in the health of its citizen accumulates a fortune, a factor that gives this bill an upper hand.
Strengths and Weaknesses and the Potential Impact on the Delivery of Health Care
As good as this Act seems it also carries some strengths and challenges that need to be considered. Dwelling on the strengths, the plan has increased coverage to almost thirty million Americans with patients able to access any form of treatment (North Dakota, 2013). It has also opened an avenue for general people who cannot afford health insurance by reducing costs. Lastly, it has also reduced budget gaps through lowered tax deductions on health care.
On the other hand, a problem is looming. America is going through a shortage in healthcare practitioners due to this legislation. Higher drug costs passed on to consumers has also been experienced.
