Essay Instructions:

Continue of previous assignment, need same writer.
Using 800-1,000 words, discuss methods to evaluate the effectiveness of your proposed solution and variables to be assessed when evaluating project outcomes.
Example: If you are proposing a new staffing matrix that is intended to reduce nurse turnover, improve nursing staff satisfaction, and positively impact overall delivery of care, you may decide the following methods and variables are necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of your proposed solution:
Methods:
1.Survey of staff attitudes and contributors to job satisfaction and dissatisfaction before and after initiating change.
2.Obtain turnover rates before and after initiating change.
3.Compare patient discharge surveys before change and after initiation of change.
Variables:
1.Staff attitudes and perceptions.
2.Patient attitudes and perceptions.
3.Rate of nursing staff turnover.
Develop the tools necessary to educate project participants and to evaluate project outcomes (surveys,
questionnaires, teaching materials, PowerPoint slides, etc.).
Refer to the "Topic 4: Checklist."

Background
The research project is related to nursing education in using repositioning as an intervention strategy for pressure ulcer prevention. Various measures are undertaken to prevent pressure ulcer, and educating nurses on how to utilize evidence based practice especially on repositioning as an intervention is critical to the success of intervention strategies (Boltz, 2012). The objective of the intervention is to manage and reduce the incidences of pressure ulcer in hospitals, where bed bound patients and those who have undergone surgery are at a high risk of developing pressure ulcers. In preventing pressure ulcers, staff education plays a critical role towards facilitating learning on repositioning and other interventions while also providing information and encourages documentation of changes (Bennett, 2013). Hence, the nursing staff should understand the aim of the project, with there being specific and measurable outcomes through changes in the incidences of pressure ulcers.
Methods to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed solution
In order to assess the effectiveness of the interventions and the proposed solution, education programs will be provided to the nurses. The education programs and training will emphasize on the role of evidence based medicine in improving quality of care and how repositioning is effective. Even though, nurses typically have knowledge on using repositioning, they may have inadequate knowledge on how best to carry out repositioning and combine with other techniques because of limited understanding on evidence based practice (Harris et al., 2010). Hence, patients will be monitored before and after intervention, while also grouping patients depending on the nurses under their care who have gone training and those who have not. The proposed solution would be effective to the extent that the education helped to reduce pressure ulcer than previous attempts when there was no coordinated training and education. On the other hand, if the rates of pressure ulcer are still the same then the proposed solution would be deemed ineffective.
Nurses’ perception about the project
The nursing staff is critical to the success of the intervention and hence their perceptions and attitudes towards the project should be positive for the project to be a success. When nurses are in support of changes, there is increased compliance and use of pressure ulcer reducing strategies including repositioning. Overall, increased compliance and documentation will likely facilitate risk assessment and care for patients at high risk of pressure ulcers (Bennett, 2013). It is also necessary to understand the barriers that hinder pressure ulcer prevention, and nurses’ perception also affects feedback on proposed changes and interventio...
