Does the paper provide sufficient evidence for its hypothesis or claim?
The paper basically compares three dissimilar religious philosophies – Yoruba, Hinduism (Karma) and Buddhism – to the Christian perspective. The paper claims that all these four religions believe in healing and therefore, healthcare providers need to educate themselves on all religions in their communities since the understanding will help them provide better care for people with dissimilar religious beliefs. To support this thesis, the paper provides evidence that is to a large extent sufficient. For instance, when discussing about Yoruba religion, the paper talks about the Healing Homes or Prayer Houses that restore through supplications. The paper provides adequate evidence supporting the use of Karma in healing process. It adds that healthcare providers need to understand that patients hold the belief that their suffering or pain could be decreased or alleviated if the correct type of Karma is performed, and that Karma can be utilized in the healing process.
Does the flow of the paper and sentence structure make sense?
The flow of the paper and sentence structure does not make much sense. Some sentences have been structured poorly and this is evident right from the first paragraph. For instance, in the first sentence, the writer wrote that “…one of the problems that needs to be address is how to response to …” Poor structure of sentences and grammatical errors are clearly evident in almost the entire paper. In the second paragraph, the writer wrote that “their divinities is called Orisa...” Rather than writing “their divinity is called Orisa.” Most of the paragraphs are of adequate length and this makes the flow of the paper to make some sense.
