The MSN in nurse leadership is a perfect program for nurses who wants to improve and expand their leadership roles. The required leadership competencies were identified as developing and nurturing relationships, articulating and promoting a vision, becoming stewards of organization and education, and embodying professional values in higher education (Patterson & Krouse, 2015). The program also involves influence in health policies, contribution to advanced professional nursing practice, and more career path options and income.
