St Mary’s General hospital was first founded by the catholic sisters in 1916, with a mission to serve those in need. They serve with compassion, dignity, and respect. The hospital too, delivers services with dedication and compassion. The reason why the hospital is of much interest is its essence of offering medical care to the underprivileged members of the society, thus making a huge impact in the communities within which it operates. This tradition has been nurtured by the founding sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton .The sisters provide an environment for patients to receive care of the body and spirit. Because of this principle, the hospital has emerged as one of the most trusted places for terminally ill patients. About St Mary’s Hospital

The hospital outreach programs provide opportunity for patients from marginalized regions to access treatment, especially for terminal conditions like cancer. The main hospital is located at Waterloo in Canada with other centers including, St. Mary’s general hospital cardiac rehabilitation center, St. Mary’s general hospital wellness centre, St. Mary’s general hospital counseling services and St. Mary’s regional sexual assault /domestic violence treatment center. These centers are located in different parts of Europe serving patients all over the world (St Mary’s, 2013).
Services offered at the center includes the cardiac programs, chest programs, emergency care, critical care services, diagnostic imaging, counseling services , sexual assault and domestic violence treatment services .The hospital has a bed capacity for 150 people served by a total of 1,250 staffs.
