Healthcare Legislation and Policy
The healthcare reforms legislation and policies in United States have been influenced by a myriad of forces which include political parties, influential citizens, political interest groups and lobbyists among others. This has led to complex and difficult challenges for the federal government of make decisions that can fix the problem sustainably. Partisan strategies and approaches have greatly compromised the health reform efforts especially from the congressional leadership comprising both chambers and the parties. The Congress has not been responsive and the restoration of self governance has been hindered by the lawmakers and therefore the healthcare reform challenges in United States have been greatly contributed by governance issues. The systems are broken and cannot enact legislations and policies in healthcare reforms that can improve the systems holistically (Linbeck, 2012).
