Why are you interested in Speech Language Therapy?

I am an Indian born US citizen with great desire to pursue to the fullest Speech Language Therapy Assistant program. This is what I have for many years aspired to do. I majored in history for my (BA) and did physics, chemistry and math as major subjects in high school. My interest in the above mentioned program led me to enroll in your college with hope of performing well since I have a desire to excel in what has been my dream career for many years.
Being in a position to express ones` ideas in fluent and articulate manner is essential for such individuals. Some children are born with difficulty in speech whereas others get the condition following accident or trauma, making it difficult for them to articulately succinctly express themselves (Backus, 1951).
For many years, I have always aspired to give back to the community by offering my services in the best competency level possible. From my key interests, I have always found it rewarding and fulfilling to work with kids with special needs. Through experience and my volunteer services, I have rendered my services to kids who could not speak which made me to find it appropriate and fulfilling to my inner-self. Subsequently, seeing such kids find joy from improvement they received was quite an achievement I cherished to have accomplished.
