Health professional are normally faced with a number of ethical issues ranging from continuous service to the patient, timeliness in the delivery of the services and flexibility at work. For instance, nurses face ethical dilemmas such as over working in situations of shortages of the clinicians, ineffective leadership and cost containment of the health facilities. In such cases, nurses are deemed to provide extra support in order to remain effective and efficient in their profession (Thyer & Wodarski, 2007).
Similarly, doctors are at times forced to attend to patients directly to substantiate the responsibilities that are entitled to be provided by the nurses. This means that the mental rationality and decision making are important aspects that govern ethical values. On the other hand, moral principles play a critical role in counteracting unethical behaviors.
