In America and various other states around the world, the use of non-traditional health care practices is increasingly being adopted by many people to support or rather replace the conventional medicine. Non-traditional health care practices have different treatment methods that are not applied by medical doctors. The techniques, mostly identify ways of working with the natural energy, balances, and systems of the body, so that healing is initiated from within the body. Many cultures support non-traditional health care practices. The paper is divided into three parts. The first part compares the non-traditional health care practices in three different cultures. The second part explains how the practices affect wellness. The last section identifies the non-traditional healthcare options that exist in my town and explains why the number of people choosing these options is rising.
Cultures that have Non-Traditional Healthcare Practices
In the world, some cultures are universally associated with the use of non-traditional health care practices. They have practiced it for a long time. They pass their skills and beliefs about the treatment from one generation to the next. In most cases, the exercises are only conducted by specific families within a community. The three cultures that still practice the non-traditional healthcare treatment methods are Native Americans, the Maori cultures found in New Zealand and the Asian Culture, especially the Chinese culture.
