The pathophysiology of hypertensive conditions is based on the overreaction in the sympathetic nervous system (SNS). It is a critical process since SNS stimulates more catecholamines in the body leading to hypertensive conditions (Li et al., 2016). The common catecholamines produced include norepinephrine and epinephrine, which are detrimental and lead to increased blood pressure and rate. Therefore, the outcomes are procoagulant effects, high angiotensin and insulin resistance. The stated factors are detrimental since they promote hypertension. The associated pathological complications are heart failure, dementia and narrowing or weakening of the blood vessels in the kidney. The identified elements are detrimental and lead to premature mortalities when not handled in time. Therefore, hypertension is a complex process requiring a reliable and sustainable treatment plan due to its pathophysiology.
