Nursing as a profession has several divisions of nursing professional within their community. These divisions depend on the education one has gone through within the nursing profession CITATION Ros14 \l 1033 (Rosseter, 2014). However, for nursing practice they all have to be registered nurses (RNs). Baccalaureate nurses are nurses who have been trained for four years for a Bachelors degree in Nursing. Associate degree nurses (ADN), on the other hand, receive a college education and traine for two years only CITATION Ros14 \l 1033 (Rosseter, 2014).
ADNs receive education only on the theory of nursing and technical proficiency and focus on clinical and technical skills rather than nursing theory. BSNs, on the other hand, are trained in all areas of ADN nursing and diploma programs CITATION Ros14 \l 1033 (Rosseter, 2014). They go deeper and study critical thinking, physical and social sciences, research, community and public health, management, and humanities. Therefore, BSNs are more holistic and provide services even outside the hospital setting CITATION Ros14 \l 1033 (Rosseter, 2014).
