PERSONAL MODEL OF LEADERSHIP (1ST LEVEL) Course: Instructor: Date: Even though, there is no universally accepted definition of leadership, it encompasses leading people through focusing on a vision, strategies and skills on how to achieve the vision. In the art of leading values play a critical role in determining success and acceptance of leadership styles. The main reason for this is that values determine the decision being made by a leader. One of the major values that a leader should have is the ability to collaborate with staff, as well as inspire them to collaborate. Team building is a critical aspect that determines success in organizations as well-built teams are less likely to have conflicts as there is unity (Hansen, 2009). In most cases, leaders who encourage collaboration tend to be responsive. Thus, both collaboration and responsiveness highlight on a leader’s vision and what he expects to be done.
