In social sciences, exploring personal stressors helps explain how they may affect academic success in a challenging degree like nursing. Several stressors have arisen from my own experiences, and tackling them proactively is essential to my nursing program advancement. One of my most significant stressors is academic pressure. A rigorous nursing education requires both theoretical knowledge and clinical application. Effective time management and study skills help reduce this stress. Breaking challenging concepts into small bits, adopting a realistic study schedule, and asking instructors or classmates for help reduce academic pressure.
Clinical rotations can be emotionally draining due to witnessing suffering and life-or-death circumstances. Future nurses must learn good coping techniques to handle emotional stress from such events.
