Healthcare is one of the areas that have been faced up with constant technological challenges. Worldwide, some investors have begun to embrace the technology innovation practices to solve the healthcare technology miseries (Colyer, 2005). In this research paper I will analyze three of the technological progress in the medical care sector with their influence on decision making and ethical choice for the patients and the healthcare professionals. It contributes to the obtainment of a determination as to whether technological advancement brings greater benefits or they produce ethical dilemmas in healthcare.
The use and adoption of robotics in healthcare
The role of robotics in the sphere of healthcare has been trending and has depicted where we are heading to. Many nations have produced a scheme that has assisted in the development of robotics to be used in healthcare. Surgical robots are mostly used in hospitals whereby they get rid of the human error that is likely to be encountered when human surgeons are employed. Despite the usage of robotics in the healthcare sector, robotics have provided an unethical way since they have created unemployment. There are skilled surgeons in the world who need the same job that is afforded to the automata. They should be offered a job rather than preferring robots in doing that job. Some claim robots do not have a sense of humor; hence they do not have feelings at all. Robots provide an effective and efficient surgical performance compared to human labor.
