In 1983 8th March, Reagan presented a speech, wchich inspired many people. He attended the annual convention of the National Association of Evangelicals; a meeting that took place in Orlando, Florida. In his speech, Reagan talks about evils and sins in the modern world. He provides his personal testimony about his convictions and faith concerning the situation of the modern world. He acknowledges that evil/sin is in the world, but America is enjoined by God’s words to fight it. He says that God’s glory has enabled United States to transcend moral evils, and the country has successfully abolished slavery and promoted equal rights. He considers the Soviet Union as the evil empire because the soviets have failed to understand the truth about Biblical Scripture and Christ’s teaching. Reagan refers to communism as evil that has failed to promote human dignity and equality. Reagan urges American citizens to pray for the soviets who live in totalitarian darkness to get salvation from the above and to discover the delight of knowing God.
