Although regularly downplayed, social, financial, and political commitments of American women have all had significant consequences for the course of this nation (Price, 2009). For evidence of this, you need not look beyond the many parts, each played amid, World War II. Their lives changed in different ways in that everybody took new roles and obligations.
When the husbands went to war, the wives needed to take up their partners’ obligations. American women filled all the male employments. Mobilization through different promotions was effective in getting women to take these jobs. Women kept the nation running. Over 6 million women joined the American workforce (Price, 2009).
In the military, American women took the few employments posts done by men, to free them for battle duties. Those occupations took them close or into war fields. Sometimes fights came to civilian regions, leading to deaths of few women. American women who were serving as military pilots actively participated in the war. More than 200,000 American women served in the United States military (Price, 2009).
American women, according to Price (2009), raised cash to fund the war, transported bandages, helped in common uprisings, tended Victory Gardens, and helped troops. Furthermore, endless American women supported the Allied war exertion through exercis...
