The Grand Prismatic Spring is a sizzling spring situated in the Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, United States. The spring, considered the third most significant spring worldwide has a diameter of three hundred feet and is fifty meters deep. It produces about two thousand liters of water every minute at a temperature of seventy degrees Celsius. The spring dated its history back in 1839, after European travelers and surveyors from the American Fur Company cited a boiling lake as they crossed Geyser.
The spring gains its recognition from emitting hot water,and due to the beautiful prismatic colors, it produces.According to scientists, the incredible colors result from the different bacteria that inhabit its water, which can withstand high temperatures of up to 189 degrees Fahrenheit. In the Grand Prismatic Spring, the rising, falling and cooling of water create rings of different temperatures. The heating effect at the center makes the water clear, hence, a deep blue color.
