People have unfazed memories of beautiful places they have visited. In my life I have traveled to many beautiful places including in the beaches, museum and foreign countries. However, one of the most memorable experiences as a child and teenager is the visits I made to the village of Tanana in Tok Alaska. My grandfather owned a cabin where he lived as a boy until 1963 before he built a homestead near the Tanana valley. Although, my grandfather has passed away, going fishing with him was priceless (Adaschik, 2014).
The beautiful Tanana River is 20 minute drive on a dirt road from the cabin. This river flows from the head of Chisana northwestward along the base of the Alaska Range to join the Yukon River near the village where my grandfather owned a cabin. The water of this river is very clean and smooth, and there are hundreds of islands along the river. Some of the islands along the river have thousands of birds while others are endowed with a lot of bamboo, pines, and varied kinds of plants, many of which I don't know their names. When I visited, I lived with my grandfather and went fishing with him (Ingold, 2011).
I love this river very much and after fishing I would swim in the river. When swimming, I liked to dive in the water and float on my back in the water. I would enjoy watching the beautiful white clouds from the water and think of the animals they resembled.
